Bunny Lines Botox in Dubai
Bunny lines are the diagonal wrinkles that appear on the sides of the nose when scrunching, sniffing, or laughing. They’re caused by the nasalis muscle — and often become more noticeable after forehead and frown line Botox when nearby muscles compensate. Easily treated with a few units. Dr Azra Vaziri treats bunny lines in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

What Are Bunny Lines
Bunny lines are the fine diagonal creases that appear on either side of the nose bridge when you scrunch your nose, laugh, or sniff. They’re caused by contraction of the nasalis muscle — a thin muscle that runs along the sides of the nose.
Many patients don’t notice bunny lines until after their forehead and frown lines have been treated with Botox. This is called muscular compensation or recruitment — when the frontalis and corrugator muscles are relaxed, the nasalis can work harder during facial expression, making bunny lines suddenly more visible. This doesn’t mean the Botox caused a problem; it means a previously masked concern has become apparent.
Bunny lines can also be present independently in patients who habitually scrunch their nose. Either way, treatment is simple: a few precisely placed units of Botox into the nasalis muscle. It’s one of the quickest and lowest-dose treatments Dr Azra performs.
How Bunny Lines Treatment Works
Treatment is straightforward and takes under 5 minutes:
- Target muscle: Nasalis — the thin muscle running along each side of the nose bridge
- Injection points: 2–4 points per side of the nose
- Units: 4–8 total (2–4 per side) — one of the lowest-dose Botox areas
- Product: Dr Azra typically uses Botox (precise spread) rather than Dysport for this area, since the nasalis is small and controlled placement matters
- Onset: 3–14 days, with full effect at 2 weeks
- Duration: 3–4 months
No anaesthesia is needed — most patients feel only a brief pinch. You can resume all normal activities immediately. For detailed dosage information, see how many units of Botox.
Why Bunny Lines Appear After Upper Face Botox
This is the most common question patients ask about bunny lines. The explanation is simple:
When the forehead (frontalis) and frown (corrugator/procerus) muscles are relaxed with Botox, other facial muscles — including the nasalis — may compensate by working harder during expression. The bunny lines were always there as a potential movement pattern, but they weren’t noticeable because the stronger forehead and frown muscles dominated your expressions.
This is completely normal, harmless, and easily fixed. Many experienced injectors — including Dr Azra — proactively offer bunny lines treatment when performing upper face Botox, anticipating this compensation pattern. It typically adds just 4–8 units to your session.

Best Combined With
- Forehead Botox + frown lines + crow’s feet — the most popular combination; bunny lines added as a finishing touch to complete upper face treatment
- Nose filler — bunny lines Botox smooths wrinkles while nose filler reshapes contour. Different concerns, complementary treatments
- Lip flip — another low-unit Botox add-on often done in the same session
Recovery
- Immediately after: Tiny bumps at injection sites resolve within 15–30 minutes. No visible marks.
- Day 1: Avoid rubbing or pressing the nose. No exercise for 24 hours.
- Day 3–7: Wrinkles begin to soften during nose scrunching.
- Day 10–14: Full effect. Bunny lines significantly reduced or eliminated during expression.
