Nose Filler Safety — What You Should Be Told
Nose filler is quick and it is reversible, but it is not a low-risk treatment and it should never be presented as one. The nose is widely regarded as the highest-risk area of the face to inject. Its skin is supplied by small end arteries — the dorsal nasal, lateral nasal and columellar vessels — which connect back through the angular artery to the ophthalmic circulation behind the eye. - Vascular occlusion. Filler entering or compressing an artery cuts off the blood supply to the skin. Rare, but documented, and the nose and the area between the brows are where it is reported most often.
- Skin necrosis and scarring if an occlusion is not recognised and treated quickly.

The other non-surgical option: a nose thread lift
Filler is not the only way to change a nose without surgery. A nose thread lift uses fine absorbable threads — Dr Azra is an Aptos certified trainer — passed along the bridge and into the tip to straighten and elevate mechanically rather than by adding volume. It suits a droopy tip and a nose that needs definition more than height, and because no volume is added it does not widen the nose the way filler occasionally can.
Threads are not automatically the safer choice and they are not reversible the way hyaluronic acid is — a thread cannot be dissolved, it has to be left to absorb.
