Understanding Hair Filler
What is Hair Filler?
Hair Filler is an injectable treatment for thinning hair. It delivers a complex of bio-mimetic peptides — signalling molecules that mimic the body’s own growth factors — together with hyaluronic acid directly into the scalp. The peptides revitalise the hair follicles and prolong the active growth (anagen) phase, while the hyaluronic acid hydrates and improves the scalp environment.
It is a non-surgical option for early to moderate hair thinning and shedding in both men and women, and is often combined with PRP or exosome scalp therapy for a stronger result.
Strengthens follicles
Peptides revitalise weakened follicles and extend the hair’s growth phase.
Reduces shedding
Helps slow excess shedding and supports thicker, healthier-looking hair.
No surgery
A quick scalp-injection session — no incisions and minimal downtime.
The Science
How does Hair Filler work?
Hair follicles cycle through growth, transition and resting phases. In thinning hair the growth phase shortens and follicles miniaturise. The peptides in Hair Filler act as growth signals that encourage follicles back into and through the growth phase, improve micro-circulation and support the follicle’s anchoring — while hyaluronic acid creates a healthier scalp environment. The result builds over a course of sessions.
Scalp consultation
Dr Azra assesses the pattern and stage of thinning and plans your course (and whether to combine with PRP or exosomes).
Scalp injections
The peptide-HA complex is placed into the scalp with very fine needles in a quick, comfortable session.
A short course
A course of sessions about 2–3 weeks apart establishes the follicle-stimulating effect.
Density builds
Reduced shedding and improved density develop over the following weeks and months; maintenance sustains it.
Compare
Hair Filler vs PRP vs Exosome therapy
All three are injectable, non-surgical hair treatments. They are complementary and often combined for early-to-moderate thinning.

Evidence
What the science says
Peptide-based scalp injectables and growth-factor therapies are increasingly used for early-stage hair thinning, working by extending the follicle growth phase and improving the scalp environment. Results are best for early to moderate thinning and when delivered as a course with maintenance; advanced hair loss may need other approaches. Dr Azra assesses each scalp individually to set realistic expectations.
Who treats you
Who injects your hair filler course — Dr Azra Vaziri
Hair filler is delivered as a mapped grid of shallow scalp injections over several sessions, so evenness of coverage decides the result more than the vial does.
Every Hair Filler Dubai — Peptide Injections for Hair Growth & Density appointment at this clinic is assessed and injected by Dr Azra Vaziri herself — a DHA- and DOH-licensed aesthetic physician with more than 20 years of experience, practising aesthetic medicine since 2004.

What to expect
Your Hair Filler session, results & aftercare
A Hair Filler session takes about 20–30 minutes. After numbing cream, Dr Azra injects the peptide and hyaluronic-acid complex into the scalp at the thinning areas using very fine needles. It is a quick, comfortable treatment with only mild scalp sensation.
You may have mild scalp tenderness, small marks or slight redness afterwards, which settle within a day. Reduced shedding is often the first noticeable change, while improvements in density and thickness build over the following weeks and months as the follicles respond and the growth phase lengthens. A course with maintenance gives the most reliable result.
Aftercare: avoid washing the hair for about 12 hours, skip vigorous exercise, sweating, saunas and swimming for 24 hours, and avoid harsh styling products on the day. Dr Azra spaces sessions about 2–3 weeks apart and will advise whether combining with PRP or exosomes suits your scalp.

Candidacy
Is Hair Filler right for you?
Hair Filler works best as an early intervention. The ideal candidate is a man or woman noticing increased shedding, a widening part, or thinning at the crown or hairline where the follicles are weakened but still active. Because it supports and strengthens existing follicles rather than replacing lost ones, the earlier it is started, the more there is to work with.
A good fit if you have
Early to moderate thinning or diffuse shedding, a family history of thinning you want to get ahead of, hair that feels finer or less dense than before, or thinning after a stressful period — together with realistic, maintenance-based expectations.
When another option suits better
Advanced pattern baldness with large bald areas and fully miniaturised follicles is unlikely to respond and may be better served by a broader hair-restoration plan or surgical options.

Hair Filler is also not offered during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or over an active scalp infection or inflamed skin.
Hair Filler does not regrow hair on a bald scalp the way a transplant does, and it is not a cure for genetic hair loss — it strengthens and supports the hair you still have and helps slow the thinning. At your consultation Dr Azra examines the scalp and stage of thinning and will advise honestly whether Hair Filler, a combination, or a different approach is the most sensible plan.
Before your visit
How to prepare for a Hair Filler session
Hair Filler needs very little preparation and no time off, but a few simple steps help the session go smoothly and reduce the chance of bruising.
Arrive with clean, dry hair
Wash your hair beforehand and skip heavy oils, serums or styling products on the day, so the scalp is clean for the injections.
Tell us about medications and health
Let Dr Azra know about any medications, supplements, allergies or scalp conditions.
Read moreShow less
Blood-thinning medicines and supplements can increase bruising — but never stop a prescribed medication without your own doctor’s advice.
Skip alcohol the day before
Avoiding alcohol for about a day beforehand helps limit bruising and tenderness at the injection points.
Plan around events
Book a little ahead of any important occasion, since minor redness or small marks can show for a day or so after treatment.
Safety
Risks and side effects
Hair Filler is a well-tolerated, minimally invasive treatment, and its peptides and hyaluronic acid are biocompatible. As with any scalp injection, a few short-lived effects are normal and settle on their own.
Common and mild: tenderness or a tight sensation in the scalp, slight redness, minor swelling and small pinpoint marks or bruises at the injection sites. These usually fade within a day or two. Because the scalp has a rich blood supply, small bruises are not unusual and are harmless.
Less common: a mild headache or temporary itching. True complications are rare when the treatment is performed by a licensed physician in a sterile clinical setting.
When to contact the clinic: get in touch with us if you notice spreading redness or warmth, pus or discharge, a fever, or pain that worsens rather than settling over the days after treatment — these can be early signs of infection and are easily managed when seen promptly. Having the treatment with Dr Azra, a DHA-licensed physician, and following the aftercare guidance keeps the risk low.
FAQ
Hair Filler — frequently asked questions
What is Hair Filler?
Hair Filler is a scalp injectable of bio-mimetic peptides and hyaluronic acid that revitalises follicles, reduces shedding and improves hair density — without surgery.
Who is Hair Filler for?
Men and women with early to moderate hair thinning or increased shedding who want a non-surgical treatment. Dr Azra assesses suitability at a scalp consultation.
How many sessions do I need?
A course of 2–4 sessions about 2–3 weeks apart, followed by maintenance. The exact plan depends on your stage of thinning.
When will I see results?
Reduced shedding is often noticed first, with density and thickness improving over the following weeks and months as the hair cycle responds.
Hair Filler vs PRP — which is better?
They work differently and are often combined. PRP uses your own platelet growth factors; Hair Filler uses peptides. Dr Azra advises the best mix for your scalp.
Can it be combined with PRP or exosomes?
Yes — combining Hair Filler with PRP or exosome therapy can give a stronger result, and package pricing is available.
Does it hurt and is there downtime?
Discomfort is minimal with numbing; downtime is minimal with possible mild scalp tenderness or tiny marks that settle quickly.
Is Hair Filler safe?
Yes — its peptides and hyaluronic acid are biocompatible. Side effects are usually limited to temporary scalp tenderness or small bruises when performed by a licensed physician.
