Skin Booster (Body) — Before & After Care

A body skin booster is an injectable hyaluronic acid and amino-acid treatment that deeply hydrates and remodels skin on areas such as the neck, décolletage, upper arms, abdomen and knees. Following this simple before-and-after care from Dr Azra Vaziri helps your bumps settle quickly and gives your body the smoothest, most even results.

How to Prepare (Before Care)

✓ Do
  • Arrive with clean skin on the treatment area — no lotions, oils, self-tan or heavy body cream.
  • Tell Dr Azra about all your medications and supplements, any allergies, and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Eat and hydrate normally beforehand so you feel comfortable during your session.
  • Wear loose clothing that lets the treated area breathe, especially for arms, abdomen or knees.
  • Plan your skin booster course so your final session is at least two weeks before any big event.
✗ Avoid before
  • Blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E for 24 hours (unless prescribed — never stop prescribed medication without your doctor).
  • Alcohol for 24 hours before, as it increases bruising and swelling.
  • Waxing, shaving or hair removal on the exact treatment area on the day of your appointment.
  • Sunburn, sunbeds and fresh spray tan on the area to be treated.
  • Booking on a day when you cannot rest and keep the area calm afterwards.

After Your Treatment — Day by Day

24h

First 24 hours

You may see small temporary bumps or papules at each injection point — this is completely normal, especially with Profhilo-type boosters, and they usually flatten within a few hours to about two days. Expect mild redness, tenderness or slight swelling. Leave the area alone, skip make-up and body products for 12–24 hours, and do not massage or rub the bumps.

1–7

Days 1 to 7

Any redness and small bumps settle over the first days. You can shower gently with lukewarm water and use only a mild, hydrating cleanser and moisturiser. Apply a daily SPF to any exposed area such as the décolletage or arms. Minor bruising, if it appears, fades within this week.

2–4

Weeks 2 to 4

This is when the real change happens. The hyaluronic acid draws in moisture and stimulates your skin, so texture, firmness and glow build gradually over three to four weeks. Skin on the neck, chest or arms looks smoother, more hydrated and more even.

6+

Week 6 and your course

Most body skin boosters work best as a short course of two to three sessions spaced about four weeks apart. Dr Azra will confirm your plan and schedule your next appointment for the best cumulative result. For longer-term firming she may discuss pairing with a body biostimulator at a later date.

— Do & Don’t

Aftercare Do’s & Don’ts

✓ Do
  • Leave the little bumps alone and let them settle naturally — they are part of how the product works.
  • Keep the area clean and use gentle, hydrating skincare over the following days.
  • Apply a broad-spectrum SPF daily to any exposed treated area to protect your results.
  • Drink plenty of water — the hyaluronic acid works with your skin’s hydration.
  • Sleep in a position that avoids pressing directly on the treated area for the first night or two.
  • Attend all sessions in your course for the smoothest, longest-lasting outcome.
✗ Avoid after
  • Touching, pressing or massaging the area unless Dr Azra specifically tells you to.
  • Make-up or body products on the area for 12–24 hours.
  • Strenuous exercise, gym and swimming for 24–48 hours.
  • Sauna, steam room, hot showers, hot tubs and sunbeds for 24–48 hours.
  • Facials, peels, laser and other body treatments on the area for about 1–2 weeks.
  • Alcohol and blood thinners for the first 24 hours to limit swelling and bruising.
When to contact the clinic. Small bumps at the injection points, mild redness, tenderness and slight swelling are all normal after a body skin booster and settle within hours to a couple of days. However, please contact us promptly if you notice increasing or spreading redness, warmth, worsening pain, pus, a fever, or any bump that becomes hard, lumpy or does not settle after a few days. These are uncommon, but Dr Azra would rather check early. Message us on WhatsApp +971 50 180 1793 and we will guide you straight away.
— Common Questions

Skin Booster (Body) Aftercare FAQ

Yes. Tiny temporary bumps or papules at each injection point are expected, especially with Profhilo-style boosters, and they usually flatten on their own within a few hours to around two days. The best thing you can do is leave them completely alone — do not press or massage them unless Dr Azra advises it. If a bump feels hard or hasn’t settled after a few days, message us on WhatsApp.

Downtime is minimal — most people carry on with their normal day. Avoid strenuous exercise, the gym and swimming for 24–48 hours, along with saunas, steam rooms and hot showers, as heat and sweating can increase swelling. After that you can return to your usual routine and any exposed area, like the décolletage or arms, should have daily SPF.

Keep the area free of make-up and body products for 12–24 hours. You can shower gently the same day using lukewarm water and a mild cleanser — just avoid scrubbing or massaging the treated skin. From the next day you can resume gentle, hydrating skincare on the area.

Hydration is noticeable early, but the real improvement in texture, firmness and glow builds gradually over three to four weeks as the skin remodels. Body skin boosters work best as a short course, usually two to three sessions spaced about four weeks apart. Dr Azra will confirm your plan at your consultation, and you can see current pricing on our price list.

Yes, but timing matters. Avoid facials, peels, laser and other body treatments on the same area for about one to two weeks so the skin can settle. Body skin boosters pair beautifully with firming options such as a body biostimulator for collagen or body threads for lift, and Dr Azra will sequence everything safely as part of your plan.
