Pre-Wedding Aesthetic Timeline: When to Start Before Your Dubai Wedding
Timing is everything when it comes to pre-wedding aesthetic treatments. Start too late and you risk swelling, bruising, or an untested result on the biggest day of your life. Start too early and the effects may have faded. This timeline works backward from your wedding date so you know exactly when to book each treatment — and what to avoid in the final weeks.
12 Months Before: Start Your Skin Foundation
A year out is the ideal time to begin a skin quality plan. This is when you build the base that makes everything else look better on the day.
Skin boosters or Profhilo: Start a course of skin boosters or Profhilo (2-3 sessions, 4 weeks apart). This improves hydration, texture, and glow from the inside — the kind of skin quality that makes makeup look better and photographs well.
Dermapen: If you have uneven texture, acne scarring, or large pores, start a Dermapen course now. You will need 3-4 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart, and the skin needs time to remodel between sessions.
Biostimulators: If you are considering Sculptra or Radiesse for gradual volume restoration, this is the time. Results take 2-3 months to build, and you may need 2 sessions. Starting early gives the collagen time to develop naturally.
6 Months Before: Structural Treatments
Six months out is the window for anything that changes structure or needs settling time.
Dermal fillers (if new to filler): If you have never had filler before, do your first session now — not close to the wedding. This gives you time to see how your face responds, adjust if needed, and get comfortable with the result. Start with conservative amounts: cheeks, chin, or jawline if structure is the goal.
Thread lifting: Threads need 4-6 weeks to settle and show their full lifting effect. Six months gives you time for the procedure, the healing, and a follow-up to check results.
Chemical peels (deep): Deeper peels that address pigmentation or sun damage need time for skin to recover and regenerate. This is the right window for stronger treatments — not the month before.
3 Months Before: Fine-Tuning
Lip filler: If you want lip filler, three months out is ideal. This gives time for any swelling to resolve, the filler to settle into its final shape, and a small top-up if needed at 6-8 weeks. Never get lip filler for the first time less than 6 weeks before a major event.
Filler touch-ups (existing patients): If you already have filler and it is due for a refresh, three months is a safe window. The product has time to settle and you can assess the result well before the day.
Polynucleotides or PRP: A final course of polynucleotides or PRP can give the skin a last round of regeneration before the wedding. Results build over 4-6 weeks, so timing works well here.
4-6 Weeks Before: Botox Window
Botox: The sweet spot for Botox is 4-6 weeks before the event. It takes 3-5 days to start working and reaches full effect at 2 weeks. By week 4-6, you are at peak result — smooth but still natural. If you have had Botox before and know your dosing, 4 weeks is fine. If it is your first time, aim for 6 weeks to allow for a top-up if needed.
Do not get Botox less than 2 weeks before the event. If it has not fully kicked in, or if you get mild bruising or drooping (rare but possible), there is no time to correct it.
1-2 Weeks Before: Glow Treatments Only
In the final two weeks, stick to low-risk treatments that boost glow without any chance of bruising, swelling, or downtime:
HydraFacial: Deep cleansing, hydration, and instant glow. No downtime, no risk. Ideal 3-5 days before the event.
LED therapy: Calming, anti-inflammatory, and brightening. Can be done as close as 2 days before.
Do not try any new injectable, peel, or resurfacing treatment in the final 2 weeks. If it is your first time with any treatment, it should have been tested months earlier. The week before your wedding is not the time for experiments.
