LED Light Therapy Facial in Dubai
A calming amber light facial. Yellow LED at 570 to 590 nm settles redness, soothes sensitive and rosacea-prone skin, and supports recovery after treatments — with no downtime. Booked on its own or added on to another treatment.
What is an LED light therapy facial?
An LED light therapy facial uses medical-grade light at specific wavelengths to influence the skin, a process called photobiomodulation. The light is not hot and does not wound the skin. Instead, it is absorbed by the cells, where it gently nudges their activity — supporting circulation, calming inflammation, or acting on the bacteria involved in acne, depending on the colour used.
The key idea is that colour equals wavelength, and wavelength decides both how deep the light reaches and what it does. That is why a proper LED facial is not one setting for everyone: the light is chosen for your skin and your concern. Our clinic has an LED device, and while it can run several clinical wavelengths, this page leads with the amber and yellow mode — because that calming, redness-settling light is the one most people are picturing when they ask for an “amber facial.”
Two honest framings up front. LED is genuinely useful, and it is supportive. It is at its best as a calming and recovery layer, or as a gentle maintenance glow — not as a replacement for the treatments that resurface or remodel skin.
Amber and yellow light — the calming wavelength
Amber and yellow LED sits at roughly 570 to 590 nm and works on the more superficial layers of the skin. It is the soothing end of the spectrum.
Because it is shallow-reaching and non-thermal, amber light is used above all to calm. In practice that means settling redness and flushing, comforting sensitive and reactive skin including rosacea-prone skin, and supporting lymphatic flow so the skin looks less puffy and more even. It is also a well-liked step after an active treatment: applied following microneedling or a peel, it helps skin feel calmer while it recovers, which is exactly why it works so well as an add-on rather than only as a standalone.
What amber light does not do is resurface, exfoliate or remodel. It will not sand down texture, lift the face, or shift established pigment. It is the comforting layer — and understood that way, it earns its place.
The clinical LED wavelengths
A real LED facial offers more than one mode. Here is what each colour genuinely does, with the wavelength it works at.
| Light | Wavelength | What it is used for |
|---|---|---|
| Amber / Yellow (our hero) | 570-590 nm | Calms redness and flushing, soothes sensitive and rosacea-prone skin, supports lymphatic flow and post-treatment recovery. Superficial reach. |
| Red | around 630 nm | Reaches deeper; used to support collagen, ageing skin and general repair and rejuvenation. |
| Blue | around 415 nm | Antibacterial; used to target Cutibacterium acnes, the bacteria involved in acne. |
The wavelength is chosen for your concern in your consultation. Amber is the calming, redness-settling mode; it is not the same as red or blue and is not interchangeable with them.

What LED will not do — an honest limit
This is the section most clinics leave out. LED is supportive, and being clear about its limits is how you get value from it.
LED light therapy on its own will not resurface the skin, will not lift or tighten the face, and will not clear deep or established pigmentation. Those are structural jobs, and they need treatments that physically work at depth. Amber light calms and comforts; it does not remove texture, and it will not fade a fixed dark mark. If your main concern is acne scarring, pitted texture or stubborn pigmentation, LED is not the treatment that does the work — microneedling, a peel or a targeted pigmentation plan is.
Where LED earns its keep is as a calming and recovery layer or a maintenance glow: alongside the treatments that do the structural work, or on its own for skin that mainly needs settling down. Used that way, honestly, it is a genuinely worthwhile part of a plan. Sold as a cure for texture, laxity or deep pigment, it is not — and we would rather tell you that before you book than after.
Standalone or add-on — and the price
The LED facial can be booked two ways, and the price depends on which.
As a standalone, it is a short, calming, no-downtime session on its own — a good choice for reactive, red or post-event skin that just needs settling. As an add-on, it is layered onto another treatment: a facial to finish on a soothing note, or straight after microneedling or a peel to support recovery. Because those routes differ, we confirm the price on consultation rather than publishing a single number that would be wrong for half of the people who book. You will always be given a clear price before anything is scheduled.
Your LED facial, step by step
A calm, comfortable session with nothing to recover from afterwards.
Assessment
Your skin and main concern are reviewed, and the right wavelength — amber, and any others — is chosen for you.
Cleanse and prep
The skin is cleansed and prepared, and your eyes are protected before the light is used.
Light session
You relax under the LED light. It is painless and non-thermal — most people find it genuinely soothing.
Finish and protect
Soothing products and SPF are applied, and any next steps or add-on plan are set.
Is the LED facial right for you?
- Redness, flushing or reactive, easily-irritated skin
- Rosacea-prone skin that needs gentle calming
- Recovery support after microneedling or a peel
- Skin too sensitive for stronger, more active facials
- A calming, no-downtime maintenance step
- Acne scarring or pitted, structural texture
- Deep or established pigmentation and dark marks
- Facial laxity or deeper lines needing lifting
- A single treatment expected to resurface the skin
- Active skin infection or broken skin in the area
For those concerns, LED can still support recovery — it just is not the treatment doing the main work.
Where the LED facial sits among our treatments
LED is a calming and recovery treatment. It works best alongside the treatments that do the structural work, not instead of them.
If you are exploring facials in general, start on our medical facial in Dubai page, or read what happens during a medical facial. For deep cleansing or infusion, there is the HydraFacial; for a luminous finish, the Korean glass skin facial. When the concern is texture, congestion or early lines, a BioRePeel or another chemical peel is the resurfacing tool — and LED is a natural finishing layer afterwards to keep the skin calm while it recovers. For scarring and pigment specifically, see acne scar treatment and hyperpigmentation treatment, with LED playing its supportive role around them.
LED facial price in Dubai

|---|---|
| LED light therapy facial — standalone | On consultation |
| LED add-on to another treatment | On consultation |
LED can be booked on its own as a calming session, or added on to a facial, microneedling or a peel. Because the two routes differ, the price is confirmed in your consultation — and you will always have a clear price before anything is booked.
Physician-designed, therapist-delivered
The value of LED comes from using it for the right thing, at the right point in a plan.
Your LED protocol is designed by Dr Azra Vaziri, a DHA- and DOH-licensed aesthetic physician with more than twenty years of experience, and delivered by Maryam Siadat, a DHA-licensed beauty therapist with over five years in advanced skincare. An LED lamp is easy to buy; knowing when amber light will genuinely help, which wavelength suits your skin, and where LED fits around your other treatments is the judgement that makes it worthwhile rather than just a coloured light.

Frequently asked questions
What is an LED light therapy facial?
An LED light therapy facial uses medical-grade light at specific wavelengths to influence the skin, a process called photobiomodulation. The light is not hot and does not damage the skin; it is absorbed by the cells and gently nudges their activity. Different colours reach different depths and do different jobs, which is why the wavelength is chosen for your concern.
What does amber or yellow LED light do?
Amber and yellow light sits around 570 to 590 nm and works on the more superficial layers of the skin. It is used to calm redness and flushing, soothe sensitive and reactive skin including rosacea-prone skin, and support lymphatic flow and recovery after treatments such as microneedling or a peel. It is the calming, comforting wavelength rather than a resurfacing one.
How much is an LED facial in Dubai?
The price is confirmed on consultation. LED can be booked as a standalone calming session or added on to another treatment such as a facial, microneedling or a peel, and the fee depends on which of those you choose. We will give you a clear price before anything is booked.
What are the other LED wavelengths for?
Red light at around 630 nm reaches deeper and is used to support collagen, ageing skin and general repair. Blue light at around 415 nm is antibacterial and is used to target the bacteria involved in acne. A full LED facial can combine modes, but for your skin we choose the wavelength that fits the concern.
Is there any downtime after an LED facial?
None. LED is non-thermal and non-invasive, so there is nothing to recover from. It is often used precisely because it is gentle enough to calm skin down and can be added straight after a more active treatment.
Can LED replace microneedling or a peel?
No, and we will not pretend it can. LED alone will not resurface the skin, lift it, or clear deep pigmentation. It is a supportive, adjunct treatment, best used as a calming and recovery layer or as a maintenance glow. For structural texture, scarring or deep pigment, microneedling or a peel is the tool that does the work.
Is LED safe for darker skin tones?
Yes. LED is non-thermal light with no downtime and no wounding, so it does not carry the post-inflammatory pigmentation risk that heat-based or resurfacing treatments can carry on Fitzpatrick III to VI skin. It is one of the gentlest treatments we offer.
How many LED sessions do I need?
For redness and sensitivity, LED tends to work best as a short course rather than a single session, and as an ongoing add-on to your other treatments. We set the plan in your consultation once we have seen your skin.
