After Your Treatment — Day by Day

24h

First 24 hours

Expect mild swelling, tightness and possibly small bruises at entry points. Sleep on your back with your head elevated. Apply a cold compress gently (do not press). Avoid touching or massaging the area.

1–7

Days 1–7

Keep the face relaxed — avoid wide yawning, big facial expressions, and chewing very hard or chewy foods. No facial massage, saunas, steam rooms, or strenuous exercise. Continue sleeping face-up and elevated. Bruising usually fades within this week.

2–4

Weeks 2–4

Avoid facials, dental procedures and high-intensity workouts. Most swelling and tightness settle and the lift starts to look natural. Sleeping position can gradually return to normal.

6+

Week 6 onward

Collagen stimulation continues and final results become visible. A review with Dr Azra confirms the outcome and whether any refinement is helpful.

Thread Lift Aftercare FAQ

Most people return to normal activities within 1–2 days. Mild swelling and bruising usually settle within a week, while final results appear over 4–6 weeks as collagen builds around the threads.

Avoid strenuous exercise, hot yoga and saunas for about 1–2 weeks. Gentle walking is fine after a couple of days.

Sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated for about a week to protect the threads and reduce swelling, then you can gradually return to your usual position.

It is best to avoid make-up over the entry points for 24 hours. After that, apply gently without rubbing or massaging the treated area.

You will see an immediate lift, but the natural, settled result develops over 4–6 weeks as swelling resolves and new collagen forms. Dr Azra reviews your outcome at follow-up.
