Jalupro — Before & After Care

Jalupro is an injectable amino-acid and hyaluronic-acid skin booster that hydrates and rebuilds collagen from within, so a little care before and after each session helps your skin settle smoothly and gives the treatment the best possible canvas. This guide from Dr Azra Vaziri walks you through exactly what to do at each stage — from preparing your skin to knowing when those tiny injection-point bumps are perfectly normal.
— Before Your Treatment

How to Prepare (Before Care)

✓ Do
  • Arrive with clean, bare skin — remove all make-up, SPF and heavy serums so the injection points stay sterile.
  • Tell Dr Azra about every medication and supplement you take, including retinoids, so your session can be tailored safely.
  • Eat a light meal and stay well hydrated before you arrive — this helps you feel comfortable during the injections.
  • Plan your first session at least two weeks before any event, since Jalupro results build gradually over 3–4 weeks.
  • Ask about combining Jalupro with other skin boosters if you want a fuller collagen programme.
✗ Avoid before
  • Avoid blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E for 24 hours (unless prescribed) to reduce bruising.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment, as it thins the blood and increases swelling.
  • Skip strong actives — retinol, AHAs and exfoliating acids — for a few days so your skin is calm on the day.
  • Avoid facials, waxing, peels or laser on the treatment area in the week beforehand.
  • Don’t book around active breakouts, cold sores or skin infections in the area — reschedule if any appear.

After Your Treatment — Day by Day

24h

The first day

You may notice tiny bumps or papules at each injection point, along with mild redness, pinkness or slight swelling. This is completely normal for a skin booster — the small bumps are simply the product sitting just under the surface and most settle within a few hours to about two days. Leave them alone, keep the skin clean and skip make-up for 12–24 hours.

1–7

Days 1 to 7

Any bumps flatten and redness fades as the amino acids and hyaluronic acid begin to disperse and hydrate the tissue. Avoid touching or massaging the area, and hold off on strenuous exercise, sauna, steam and hot showers for the first 24–48 hours. Keep to gentle, hydrating skincare and apply a daily SPF whenever you are outdoors in Dubai.

2–4

Weeks 2 to 4

This is when the real work shows — skin looks more hydrated, plumper and smoother as fibroblasts are stimulated to produce fresh collagen and elastin. You can gradually reintroduce actives such as retinol, but wait 1–2 weeks before any facials, peels or energy or laser treatments on the area.

6+

Your full course

Jalupro is designed to be given as a short course — usually 2–3 sessions spaced roughly 2–3 weeks apart — for cumulative firmness and glow. Dr Azra will confirm your ideal number of sessions and a maintenance schedule; you can see current pricing on the price list.

— Do & Don’t

Aftercare Do’s & Don’ts

✓ Do
  • Leave any injection-point bumps alone — they smooth out on their own within hours to a couple of days.
  • Keep the skin clean and use only gentle, hydrating skincare for the first day or two.
  • Apply a broad-spectrum SPF every day to protect the fresh collagen work — essential in the UAE sun.
  • Drink plenty of water, which supports the hydrating action of the hyaluronic acid.
  • Sleep on your back for the first night if the treated area feels tender.
  • Complete your full recommended course of sessions for the best, longest-lasting result.
✗ Avoid after
  • Don’t touch, rub or massage the treated area, and avoid pressing on the little bumps.
  • No make-up for 12–24 hours so the injection points can close cleanly.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, sauna, steam rooms and very hot showers for 24–48 hours.
  • Skip facials, microneedling, peels and laser for about 1–2 weeks.
  • Avoid alcohol and blood thinners for the first 24 hours to limit swelling and bruising.
  • Keep off strong actives (retinol, acids, scrubs) for a few days until the skin feels calm.
When to contact the clinic. Mild redness, tiny temporary papules and slight swelling are all expected after Jalupro and settle quickly — there is no need to worry about these. However, please get in touch promptly if you notice spreading redness or warmth, increasing rather than easing pain after 48 hours, signs of infection such as pus or fever, a bump that keeps growing or hardens, or any blanching, dusky discolouration or unusual visual changes. Jalupro Aftercare FAQ

Yes — small, temporary bumps or papules at each injection point are a completely normal feature of skin boosters like Jalupro and similar treatments. They are simply the product sitting just under the surface and usually settle within a few hours to about two days. The key is to leave them alone: don’t press, rub or massage them, and they will smooth out on their own.

Downtime is minimal. You may have mild redness, swelling and tiny bumps on the day, but most people return to normal activities straight away. We ask you to skip make-up for 12–24 hours so the injection points can close cleanly, and to keep to gentle, hydrating skincare for the first day or two before resuming your usual routine.

Avoid strenuous exercise, sauna, steam rooms and very hot showers for the first 24–48 hours, as heat and raised blood flow can increase swelling and prolong redness. Gentle walking is fine. After two days you can return to your normal fitness and spa routine unless Dr Azra advises otherwise.

Jalupro works gradually rather than instantly. You’ll usually notice better hydration and glow within the first couple of weeks, with firmer, smoother, plumper skin building over 3–4 weeks as new collagen forms. Because it is a course treatment, the best results come after 2–3 sessions spaced 2–3 weeks apart — Dr Azra will confirm your plan at your consultation.

Yes, Jalupro pairs well with other boosters and regenerative treatments such as Sunekos or NCTF for a fuller collagen programme, but timing matters. Wait about 1–2 weeks before facials, peels or laser on the treated area, and let Dr Azra sequence any combination so your skin heals well between steps.
