NCTF Mesotherapy — Before & After Care

A course of NCTF Mesotherapy delivers a bio-revitalising cocktail of hyaluronic acid, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants into the skin through fine micro-injections, so a little aftercare goes a long way toward smooth, comfortable healing. Follow this simple guide from Dr Azra Vaziri to calm the tiny bumps quickly and get the most radiance from every session.
— Before Your Treatment

How to Prepare (Before Care)

✓ Do
  • Arrive with completely clean skin — remove all make-up, sunscreen and skincare so the injection points stay hygienic.
  • Stay well hydrated in the days before your session; hydrated skin responds beautifully to the hyaluronic acid in NCTF.
  • Tell Dr Azra about any medications, allergies or a history of cold sores at your consultation.
  • Eat a light meal beforehand so you feel comfortable during the micro-injections.
  • Plan the timing — leave a make-up-free evening afterwards and avoid booking a big event the same day.
✗ Avoid before
  • No blood thinners for 24 hours — aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E can increase tiny bruises.
  • Skip alcohol for 24 hours, as it thins the blood and worsens swelling.
  • Avoid strong actives (retinol, AHA/BHA acids, vitamin C) for 48 hours before, so skin is calm on the day.
  • Don’t come with a fresh sunburn, active breakout or irritated skin over the treatment area.
  • Avoid caffeine right before if you tend to feel sensitive to needling.

After Your Treatment — Day by Day

24h

The first day

Small raised bumps (papules) at each injection point plus mild redness are completely normal and expected — this is the product sitting just under the skin. Keep the area make-up-free and don’t rub or touch it. Any tiny pinpoint marks usually settle within hours to a day.

1–7

Bumps and redness fade

The little bumps flatten as the hyaluronic acid disperses and hydrates the skin, and redness eases over the first few days. A very occasional small bruise can appear and fades like any bruise. You can resume gentle make-up and normal skincare once the skin feels calm.

2–4

First glow appears

Over the next couple of weeks skin looks fresher, more hydrated and luminous as cellular turnover and collagen stimulation begin. This early radiance is a preview — the deeper improvement in tone and texture builds with your course of sessions.

6+

Course results & maintenance

NCTF works best as a course, typically 3–4 sessions spaced a few weeks apart, then top-ups every few months. Cumulative results include smoother texture, brighter tone and improved elasticity — ideal for tired, dull skin. Dr Azra will map your schedule at review.

— Do & Don’t

Aftercare Do’s & Don’ts

✓ Do
  • Let the skin breathe — keep it clean and make-up-free for 12–24 hours after your session.
  • Cleanse gently with lukewarm water and pat dry; use a bland, fragrance-free moisturiser if needed.
  • Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 every day — sun protection is essential while skin renews, especially in the Dubai sun.
  • Drink plenty of water to support the hydrating effect of the treatment.
  • Sleep on your back the first night if the face was treated, to avoid pressing on the points.
  • Complete your recommended course and rebook on schedule for the best cumulative result.
✗ Avoid after
  • Don’t rub, massage, scratch or pick at the treated area, even if bumps feel itchy.
  • No make-up for 12–24 hours to keep the fresh injection points clean.
  • Avoid exercise, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and heat for 24 hours — heat and sweat increase redness.
  • No active skincare (retinol, AHAs/BHAs, vitamin C, scrubs) for 48 hours.
  • Skip alcohol for 24 hours as it prolongs swelling and redness.
  • Avoid direct sun, tanning beds, facials and other mesotherapy or skin treatments for a few days.
When to contact the clinic. Tiny bumps, mild redness, slight tenderness and the odd small bruise are all normal after NCTF micro-injections and settle within a day or two — there is nothing to worry about. However, please get in touch promptly if you notice spreading redness or heat, worsening swelling after 48 hours, pus or signs of infection, a fever, blistering, or intense pain that is not improving. If you have a history of cold sores and feel tingling around the lips, let us know early. Dr Azra and the team are always here to reassure you — message us on WhatsApp +971 50 180 1793.
— Common Questions

NCTF Mesotherapy Aftercare FAQ

Yes — small raised bumps at each injection point are completely normal and expected. They are simply the hydrating cocktail sitting just under the skin and they flatten as the hyaluronic acid disperses, usually within a few hours to 24 hours, sometimes up to a couple of days. Please don’t rub or massage them; let them settle naturally. If you have questions between sessions you can always reach the clinic.

Downtime is minimal. Most bumps and redness settle within 24 hours and fully over the first few days. To keep the fresh injection points clean, avoid make-up for 12–24 hours; once the skin feels calm you can return to gentle make-up and your normal routine. Many clients book a session with a make-up-free evening to follow.

Avoid exercise, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and any heat for 24 hours, as sweat and heat can increase redness and irritation. You can gently cleanse with lukewarm water and pat dry the same evening — just avoid rubbing the area. Hold off on active ingredients such as retinol, acids and vitamin C for 48 hours, then ease back into your usual skincare.

You’ll often notice a fresh, hydrated glow within the first 1–2 weeks, but NCTF works best as a course — typically 3–4 sessions spaced a few weeks apart, then maintenance every few months. Results build cumulatively for smoother texture, brighter tone and better elasticity. NCTF also pairs well with a skin booster; Dr Azra will design the ideal plan for your skin.

A small bruise or mild redness at an injection point is normal and fades within a few days, just like any minor bruise — avoiding blood thinners and alcohol for 24 hours beforehand helps minimise it. It only warrants a call if you see spreading redness, heat, worsening swelling after 48 hours, or signs of infection. You can review pricing for your course on our price list.
