Skin Booster (Body) — Before & After Care
How to Prepare (Before Care)
- Arrive with clean skin on the treatment area — no lotions, oils, self-tan or heavy body cream.
- Tell Dr Azra about all your medications and supplements, any allergies, and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Eat and hydrate normally beforehand so you feel comfortable during your session.
- Wear loose clothing that lets the treated area breathe, especially for arms, abdomen or knees.
- Plan your skin booster course so your final session is at least two weeks before any big event.
- Blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E for 24 hours (unless prescribed — never stop prescribed medication without your doctor).
- Alcohol for 24 hours before, as it increases bruising and swelling.
- Waxing, shaving or hair removal on the exact treatment area on the day of your appointment.
- Sunburn, sunbeds and fresh spray tan on the area to be treated.
- Booking on a day when you cannot rest and keep the area calm afterwards.
After Your Treatment — Day by Day
First 24 hours
You may see small temporary bumps or papules at each injection point — this is completely normal, especially with Profhilo-type boosters, and they usually flatten within a few hours to about two days. Expect mild redness, tenderness or slight swelling. Leave the area alone, skip make-up and body products for 12–24 hours, and do not massage or rub the bumps.
Days 1 to 7
Any redness and small bumps settle over the first days. You can shower gently with lukewarm water and use only a mild, hydrating cleanser and moisturiser. Apply a daily SPF to any exposed area such as the décolletage or arms. Minor bruising, if it appears, fades within this week.
Weeks 2 to 4
This is when the real change happens. The hyaluronic acid draws in moisture and stimulates your skin, so texture, firmness and glow build gradually over three to four weeks. Skin on the neck, chest or arms looks smoother, more hydrated and more even.
Week 6 and your course
Most body skin boosters work best as a short course of two to three sessions spaced about four weeks apart. Dr Azra will confirm your plan and schedule your next appointment for the best cumulative result. For longer-term firming she may discuss pairing with a body biostimulator at a later date.
Aftercare Do’s & Don’ts
- Leave the little bumps alone and let them settle naturally — they are part of how the product works.
- Keep the area clean and use gentle, hydrating skincare over the following days.
- Apply a broad-spectrum SPF daily to any exposed treated area to protect your results.
- Drink plenty of water — the hyaluronic acid works with your skin’s hydration.
- Sleep in a position that avoids pressing directly on the treated area for the first night or two.
- Attend all sessions in your course for the smoothest, longest-lasting outcome.
- Touching, pressing or massaging the area unless Dr Azra specifically tells you to.
- Make-up or body products on the area for 12–24 hours.
- Strenuous exercise, gym and swimming for 24–48 hours.
- Sauna, steam room, hot showers, hot tubs and sunbeds for 24–48 hours.
- Facials, peels, laser and other body treatments on the area for about 1–2 weeks.
- Alcohol and blood thinners for the first 24 hours to limit swelling and bruising.
