HydraFacial — Before & After Care

A HydraFacial in Dubai is a non-invasive medical facial that cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates in one session, with virtually no downtime. Following a few simple before & after steps helps Dr Azra Vaziri deliver the deepest, most even glow while keeping your skin barrier calm and healthy.
— Before Your Treatment

How to Prepare (Before Care)

HydraFacial needs very little preparation, but pausing strong actives beforehand lets us exfoliate more thoroughly without over-sensitising your skin. If you are unsure how a HydraFacial compares with a chemical peel or other medical facial options, ask us at your consultation.
✓ Do
  • Arrive with clean skin — remove make-up, SPF and heavy skincare before your appointment.
  • Stay well hydrated in the days before; plump, hydrated skin exfoliates more evenly.
  • Tell us about any recent facials, lasers, injectables or active breakouts so we can tailor the serums.
  • Book around events — HydraFacial gives an instant glow, so time it 1–2 days before a big occasion.
  • Let us know if your skin is sensitive or prone to redness so we can adjust the vortex settings.
✗ Avoid before
  • Pause retinoids (retinol/tretinoin) and strong exfoliants for 2–3 days before treatment.
  • Avoid AHA/BHA acids, scrubs and at-home peels for a few days prior.
  • No waxing, threading or depilatory creams on the treatment area for 48 hours.
  • Avoid unprotected sun exposure or a fresh tan/sunburn before your session.
  • Skip other resurfacing treatments (peels, lasers, microneedling) in the days leading up unless advised.

After Your Treatment — Day by Day

24h

First Few Hours — Instant Glow

Skin may look slightly pink or flushed for an hour or two — this is normal and settles quickly. Leave the skin bare for a few hours: no make-up, and let the infused serums keep working. You’ll notice a clean, hydrated, luminous finish straight away.

1–7

Days 1–7 — Barrier Protection

For the first 24–48 hours avoid retinol, AHA/BHA acids and any exfoliation so the freshly resurfaced skin stays calm. Skip sauna, steam room, hot yoga and heavy sweating for 24 hours. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF every morning — your skin is more receptive to sun right now.

2–4

Week 2–4 — Smooth & Refined

Congestion, dullness and rough texture continue to improve as cell turnover benefits from the deep cleanse. Pores look tighter, make-up sits more smoothly and your regular actives can be reintroduced gradually. This is the ideal window to plan your next session.

6+

Ongoing — Best in a Series

HydraFacial results are cumulative. A monthly series (roughly every 4–6 weeks) builds lasting clarity, hydration and even tone. Pair with a good home routine and SPF to maintain that healthy, glowing complexion long-term.

— Do & Don’t

Aftercare Do’s & Don’ts

✓ Do
  • Keep skin bare for a few hours, then use only gentle, hydrating products.
  • Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 every morning — daily sun protection is essential.
  • Drink plenty of water to support the deep hydration boost.
  • Use a mild, non-foaming cleanser and a simple moisturiser for the first day or two.
  • Reintroduce actives (retinol/acids) slowly after 48 hours, one product at a time.
  • Book your HydraFacial as a series for the fullest, longest-lasting results.
✗ Avoid after
  • No make-up for a few hours after treatment; let the serums absorb fully.
  • Avoid retinol, AHA/BHA acids and physical exfoliation for 24–48 hours.
  • No sauna, steam room, hot tub, hot yoga or heavy sweating for 24 hours.
  • Skip scrubs, cleansing brushes and harsh tools for the first 48 hours.
  • Avoid direct sun and tanning beds; never go out without SPF.
  • Don’t pick or over-treat any minor purging — let the skin settle.
When to contact the clinic. HydraFacial is gentle and complications are very rare. Mild pinkness for a few hours, a slightly tight feeling, or a small amount of temporary purging can be completely normal. However, please contact us if you notice persistent redness lasting more than a day, unusual swelling, itching or a rash, blistering, prolonged stinging or burning, or any sign of an allergic reaction to a serum. Dr Azra and the team are always happy to reassure you — reach us on WhatsApp +971 50 180 1793 or via our contact page.
— Common Questions

HydraFacial Aftercare FAQ

Essentially none. HydraFacial is non-invasive, so most people return straight to work or their day. Skin may look slightly pink for an hour or two and feel deeply hydrated, but there’s no peeling or recovery period. It’s one of the gentlest options among our medical facials.

We recommend avoiding heavy sweating, hot yoga, sauna and steam rooms for about 24 hours, as heat and sweat can irritate freshly resurfaced skin. Light activity is fine — just cleanse gently afterwards and keep the skin cool for the first day.

Ideally leave the skin bare of make-up for a few hours so the infused serums absorb fully; many clients love how clean their skin feels and skip it until the next day. You can cleanse gently the same evening with a mild, non-foaming cleanser — just avoid scrubs, brushes and active acids for 24–48 hours.

You’ll see an instant glow, hydration and smoother texture right away, with results typically lasting 5–7 days from a single session. HydraFacial works best in a series — a monthly treatment builds clearer, brighter, more even skin over time. Combined with daily SPF it supports lasting glowing skin. See current pricing on our price list.

Occasionally, yes. Because HydraFacial deeply decongests the pores, some clients experience mild, short-lived purging as impurities clear — this usually settles within a few days. Keep your routine gentle, don’t pick, and let us know at your next visit so we can fine-tune the serums for your skin.
