⎯ The Product

TwAc is a bioreparant skin booster: PDRN from purified salmon DNA, formulated together with hyaluronic acid. It is injected into the skin to repair quality, not underneath it to create shape.

PDRN — polydeoxyribonucleotide — is made of short, purified DNA fragments. Injected into the dermis it activates fibroblasts, improves microcirculation and damps inflammation, so the skin behaves more like younger skin rather than being padded out to look like it.

What separates TwAc from a pure PDRN product is the second ingredient. Rejuran, the best-known salmon-DNA booster, is PDRN on its own: the repair signal without a hydrating carrier. A filler occupies space. A booster changes the tissue. TwAc is firmly in the second category, and the mechanism is worth understanding because it explains why nothing dramatic happens on the day and why the result keeps improving after you have stopped thinking about it.

The PDRN fragments act as signalling molecules: they bind receptors on fibroblasts and switch them toward repair — new collagen and elastin, better microcirculation, less oxidative stress. The hyaluronic acid does something simpler and faster: it holds water, so the skin looks plumper and brighter within days while the slower work is still under way.

That split is also why TwAc is given as a course rather than a single session. One injection gives a signal; three, spaced two to four weeks apart, give a sustained one.

⎯ The Session

Numbing cream first, then a series of small injections across the treatment area. It takes twenty to thirty minutes. You will have small raised bumps where the product was placed — these settle within a few hours, occasionally overnight.

⎯ Safety

Polynucleotide boosters are among the better-tolerated injectables. The usual effects are the injection ones: small bumps for a few hours, redness, occasional pinpoint bruising. They settle without treatment.

TwAc is derived from salmon DNA, so it is not suitable if you have a fish allergy — say so at the consultation. It is also avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding, with active infection or inflammation in the treatment area, and during an autoimmune flare, which is discussed case by case.

One honest limitation: a booster improves skin, it does not lift it. If what troubles you is sagging rather than surface quality, a thread lift or a biostimulator is the truthful answer, and you will get it.
