What Is Profhilo?
Profhilo is the first stabilised hyaluronic acid (HA) product manufactured without the use of chemical cross-linking agents such as BDDE. Its patented NAHYCO® technology — developed by IBSA Farmaceutici Italia — uses a thermal process to combine high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid into a single, stable complex. The high molecular weight HA provides long-lasting hydration and mechanical support, while the low molecular weight HA promotes tissue repair and cellular activity.
With 64 mg of hyaluronic acid in every 2 ml syringe, Profhilo contains the highest concentration of HA of any product in its class. But unlike a dermal filler, Profhilo does not sit in one place to add volume or create structure.
